VIDEO: Fake referee streaker starts massive brawl between UCLA, Arizona

Although we don’t like to regurgitate stuff that’s been passed around the blogosphere about one billion times (it’s a lot like re-chewing food, I’d say), it’s hard to justify why the epic fight(s) between UCLA-Arizona doesn’t warrant a post.

Of course, it all started with a hilarious streaker, who managed to blow a play dead by dressing up as a referee and tooting his whistle before causing trouble. Check it:

Now, I’m a UCLA student, and I have been to every UCLA football game this season, so believe me when I say students here get pretty riled up and tip-toe the line between “dedicated” and “stupid.”

And if it were a UCLA student that ran out onto the field and did this? I’d be pretty embarrassed. But because it wasn’t, I have to say that this was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen from a fan. When your team is losing 42-7, you’ll find damn near anything to lighten the mood, and seeing a “knucklehead” from the other side dress up as a ref and legitimately blow a play dead while getting down the exact movements of an official ref, which led to one of the biggest college footbrawls we’ve seen in the past decade? That’s genius!

Of course, the laughter was soon filled with embarrassment as I realized my Bruins had let up four second-quarter touchdowns and we were down 42-7 to end the first half.
