Predictions for Regular Season Awards

July 22, 2012

Another day, some more time to contemplate what is going on in the world. And in my world, it is another day to process some more information for the upcoming season. I was considering waiting until the training camps start to release this list, but I can’t do it. I am too impatient, and we are only one month away from start of the season. Amidst the excitement, I came through with my list of awards, that is, regular season awards for next season....

Will Peyton Manning Ever Truly Be a Denver Bronco?

Will Peyton Manning Ever Truly Be a Denver Bronco?

It’s the middle of July here in Colorado and I am wondering what kind of sports news there is to write about. My knowledge of sports does not extend far beyond that of the 4 major American, and a little Canadian, professional sporting leagues. I certainly don’t want to write about the Rockies because this has been their most abysmal season in the history of the franchise, and the other major sports are pretty much in hibernation at this time. However, there is one...

July 15, 2012

OK everybody; it is almost time for the greatest time in the world. It is almost fantasy football season. Hooray. The last few months have been interesting and exciting with all of the offseason moves. Today, I took the time to go through some fantasy football rankings to bring a list of overrated/underrated players at each position. Quarterback Overrated- Robert Griffin III Underrated- Jay Cutler Ok, I think highly of RG3, but many lists have him within the top 15 as a quarterback. That...

Drew Brees Gets Paid While the Saints Look Silly

July 14, 2012

After months and months of negotiations, the New Orleans Saints and Drew Brees came to an agreement on a contract that keeps Brees in New Orleans for the next five years. Totaled at $100 million with $60 million guaranteed, the Saints finally came to their senses with making sure Brees stays in black and gold. The thing that makes me wonder is why it took so long for New Orleans to give Brees the money he both demanded and deserved. Certainly, there are financial...

We are in the middle of an intriguing baseball season, NBA free agency is going crazy, the Olympics are only a couple of weeks away, but the only thing on my mind, the upcoming NFL season.  Do I have a problem? The Battle Rages On In The East

While the other three conferences have wrapped up, we are still waiting to see who will come out the victor in the New York Rangers and Washington Capitals Semi-finals round. To refresh your memory of the outcome of the other series, The Kings took the St. Louis Blues in a sweep of four games, Coyotes defeated the Predators 4-1, which the New Jersey Devils seemed to mimic when they beat the Philadelphia Flyers on home ice last night. With the Coyotes and the Kings...

2013 Super Bowl Odds are … well, Odd

March 30, 2012
2012 Super Bowl Logo

Odds are a funny thing. Like with the whole Mega Millions jackpot on Friday, featured as “breaking news” on nightly newscasts across the country with anchors and cameramen alike holding up their “lucky” tickets despite the 176 million-to-1 odds. Those same news crews were more likely to get struck by lightning (280,000-to-1), or even attacked by a shark (11.5 million-to-1) before winning the lottery. Heck, they probably have a better chance of winning the Super Bowl next year. A better chance than the New...
