Like with the whole Mega Millions jackpot on Friday, featured as “breaking news” on nightly newscasts across the country with anchors and cameramen alike holding up their “lucky” tickets despite the 176 million-to-1 odds. Those same news crews were more likely to get struck by lightning (280,000-to-1), or even attacked by a shark (11.5 million-to-1) before winning the lottery.
