Don’t fret hockey fans, there hasn’t been a player lockout yet, but there is still the potential for one. After a lot of talks and negotiating the NHLPA have finally given their counter proposal to the offensive proposal the league owners first gave. An 11% cut to player right off the bat? CBA Negotiations Continue

The collective bargaining agreement negotiations have wrapped up for three days, but things aren’t over yet. The current CBA expires on September 15th, so the object is to come to some sort of agreement before the expiration date. So far, only the league have made demands, which we have seen come at a high price. In the hockey world more free agency news has surfaced. LA has signed Dwight King for another two years, The Caps sign Mike Green for another three years, The Blues have resigned Porter, Peluso and Sonne, and the Buffalo Sabres have signed both Tarnasky and Brennan.
