After this mornings phone hearing of Chris Stewart for his hit from behind in last night’s game,  The Department of Player Safety have sentenced him with a three game suspension.  The offense on the ice had so much impact because of the game misconduct that referees gave him during the on ice game, which led to him being ejected from the ice.   The NHL is stepping it up when it comes to player safety, especially with Senior Vice-President of Player Safety and Hockey operations, Brendan Shanahan on the case.  After calling a hearing for the Lucic hit, another hearing regarding player safety is being called for St. Louis Blues’ forward Chris Stewart.
