LaDainian Tomlinson will retire as a San Diego Charger

LaDainian Tomlinson is loved in San Diego. Fans still cant stop talking about the guy, and hes pretty much the consensus best San Diego Charger ever.

Of course, we kind of figured the feeling was mutual, considering L.T. cried his eyes out when he was told he wouldnt be brought back after the Bolts lost to the Jets in 2009.

But when L.T. went on a conference call, he told the local media, Im sure the time will come when I come back and retire as a Charger.

I feel guilty, along with thousands of other Chargers faithful, because I was part of the loud minority in San Diego that called for L.T. to take a reduced role or to get sent away. His 3.3 yards per carry were headache-inducing, and his frustration with having a limited role in the Chargers Rivers-centric offense was upsetting. And then we figured all ties were broken when the dude decided to get some nasty-ass tattoos of the New York Jets logo on his legs.

But knowing he still bleeds baby blue and gold? Thats heartwarming, no doubt. When that time comes, we hope L.T. doesnt change his mind.
