Ray Rice Video
A new Ray Rice video has surfaced, and it’s cost him his contract and roster spot with the Baltimore Ravens.
Michigan running back Fitzgerald Toussaint has signed with the Baltimore Ravens from the practice squad.
The move came after the Baltimore Ravens cut cornerback Derek Cox for the second time in a week, opening up a roster spot for Toussaint.
The signing helps pad the running back position as Ray Rice is serving a two-game suspension for domestic abuse.
With Rice out, many expect Bernard Pierce to carry the load for the Ravens, although adding another running back could suggest the Ravens will carry by committee against the Cincinnati Bengals.
During the preseason, Toussaint rushed for 123 yards on 21 carries.
As a senior at Michigan in 2013, Toussaint rushed for 648 yards on 185 carries, averaging a career-low 3.5 yards per carry.
He averaged 10.9 yards as a freshman, 5.6 yards as a sophomore, and 4.0 yards as a junior.
His best year at Michigan came in 2001, when he rushed for 1,041 yards and nine touchdowns on 187 carries.
Despite averaging just 3.5 yards a carry and having his longest run of 35 yards as a senior, Toussaint did rush for 13 touchdowns as a senior last season and could be a good goal-line option if the Ravens need it down the road.
